Internal Competitions

Internal competitions are held at the law school, where students compete against each another in a friendly tournament which run throughout the academic year. Importantly, all students are encouraged to participate, regardless of prior competition experience. Competitions are fun, challenging ways to enhance your law school experience and meet others within the cohort. The Internal Competitions Portfolio offers nine competitions that aim to provide students with insight into practise as a lawyer, fostering confidence and skills that will be integral to life outside school. We hope to offer something for everyone - if you’re a budding barrister or a new negotiator, then the Internal Competitions Portfolio has something for you!

External Competitions

The Melbourne University Law Students’ Society (MULSS) offers students a chance to gain further experience by competing in external competitions in Melbourne, interstate, and overseas. Several events are hosted by the MULSS, whilst the portfolio also sends students to competitions hosted by other law schools and student societies.
