Communications

The Communications portfolio acts as the bridge between the Melbourne University Law Students’ Society and the student body. We oversee all internal and external communications between members of MULSS, the students, Melbourne Law School and the general public, including the creation of this website! We also design and publish content for the student body, edit Purely Dicta and manage the MULSS social media accounts.

The Communications portfolio operates as a team of 10: two Communications Directors, four Marketing and Publications Officers, two Purely Dicta Editors, and two Social Media Officers.

The Communications Directors, Alice Rowling and Megan O’Leary, can be contacted through their email at communications@mulss.com.

Marketing and Publications

The Marketing and Publications team work closely with the Education and Careers portfolios as well with the Third-Year+ Representative and Director of Sponsorship to design publications and produce marketing material for the Melbourne University Law Students’ Society.

Our team facilitates the creation of the First Year Guide, Clerkship Guide and Careers Guide. This year, the Marketing and Publications team also assisted in the creation of the 2021 Financial Resources Guidebook.

Purely Dicta

Purely Dicta is the Melbourne University Law Students’ Society magazine. The magazine is dedicated to social, political, and legal commentary with students, past contributors, teaching staff and even the Melbourne Law School submitting pieces to the Purely Dicta Editors.

The Purely Dicta Editors also maintain the Purely Dicta website and social media accounts to ensure everyone can access the magazine.

Social Media

The Social Media team are responsible for running the MULSS social media accounts. The team oversees the MULSS’s online presence and creates content that is not only informative, but fun and accessible for everyone to enjoy. The Social Media team also works with other portfolios to develop a coherent presence for the Melbourne University Law Students’ Society’s online posts. Check out our social media pages below!
