This moot was introduced by the UTS LSS in 2017 with the aim of offering students the ability to expand their knowledge in areas such as cryptocurrency, artificial intelligence and smart contracts while also harvesting the legal knowledge they already possess. This moot engages with the inherent uncertainty that exists within the modern technological landscape and their interaction with established principles of law such as torts, contracts or intellectual property. It provides competitors with the opportunity to develop creative solutions to a range of issues within the constantly evolving area of law pertinent to legal technology.
