Elections to the 2020-21 MULSS Executive Committee
This year, the position of International Students’ Representative was unfilled as no students nominated for the role. This position will be filled at the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) to allow students to choose who they wish to represent them. You can see a description of the role at this link:
How it will work
If you want to run for International Students’ Representative, you will need to do the following:
1. Register to attend the AGM by 6:30pm Sunday 27 September
2. Turn up to the AGM at 6:30pm Monday 28 September
3. Give a 30 second – 1 minute spiel about why you should be chosen to fill the position
4. Vote alongside your peers
Students who wish to vote in the election for International Students’ Representative should register and attend the AGM. If you cannot attend the AGM but wish to vote, you can nominate a proxy to vote on your behalf.

Please note: there is strictly no campaigning in the lead up to the AGM. You are of course welcome to just chat to people and let them know your intention to run, or encourage people to come along to the AGM, but there will be no online posts, posters or campaign videos for this role.

The key dates to know for the election period are as follows:
Drop-in Zoom Session: Friday 11 September, 1:00pm-2:00pm
Nominations Close: Sunday 13 September, 5:00pm
Campaigning Commences: Monday 14 September, 9:00am
Campaigning Ends: Sunday 20 September, 11:59pm
Voting Commences: Monday 21 September, 9:00am
Voting Ends: Thursday 24 September, 5:00pm
The election results will be announced at the Annual General Meeting on Monday 28 September. Further details about the AGM can be found at the link below:
