The MULSS is proud to announce the opening of the First Year Elections season! This is an amazing opportunity for those wishing to make a real difference in the Law School and to get the most out of their degree!

Positions are available for a number of co-opt positions and for three First Year Representatives. Candidates should read the position descriptions for each available role attached below before applying.

Those wishing to be apply for a Co-opt position should apply via the link below and will be contacted by their relevant Directors to organise an interview in week 4. Directors will then appoint successful candidates.

First Year Representative candidates should apply via the link below and will be elected by their fellow first year peers only. Voting for First Year Representatives is conducted online, and will open on Monday the 19th of March at 9:00am and close on Thursday the 22nd of March at 5:00pm. Election campaigning for First Year Representatives is governed by an exhaustive list of rules. These regulations are attached below and can also be accessed via the Constitution and Regulations tab at Any breaches in these rules may result in penalties of votes or disqualification.

Our election season kicks off on the 4th of March and will close on the 22nd, with announcements of successful candidates in the following few days. On the 8th of March we will be holding an information session for first year positions at the LSS office between 1-2pm, where students will be able to speak with Directors and previous position holders about these roles.

Applications Open: Sun 4 Mar (End Week 1)
Information Session: Thursday 8th 1-2pm, Level 2 LSS Office (Week 2)
Applications Close: 5pm Sun 11 Mar (Pre Week 3)
Campaigning: Mon 12 Mar (Week 3) – Thursday 22 Mar (Week 4)
Voting: Mon 19 Mar - Thursday 22 Mar (Week 4)
Co-opt Interviews commence: Monday 19th- Sunday 25th (Week 4)
