Melbourne University Law Students' Society

In 2015, the MULSS streamlined two of its current publications into a single, comprehensive Mental Health and Wellbeing publication. Entitled Equilibrium, this publication includes articles on a range of Equality, Social Justice and Wellbeing issues, as well as practical tips on maintaining a balanced law school life, worthwhile extra-curricular involvement and positive mental health.

A hard copy of Equilibrium will be made available to all JD students in Semester 2,whilst a publicly accessible, online version will be made available. New articles will be released online in a rolling format throughout the year.

Submissions for Equilibrium are now closed. However, next year, we will seek submissions on a variety of topics, including:

  • Gender equality;
  • LGBTQI community;
  • Racism;
  • Socio-economic divide/class;
  • Poverty;
  • Animal rights;
  • Mental health/illness;
  • Physical disability;
  • Coping with stress;
  • Work/life balance;
  • Fitness and nutrition

If you're keen to contribute, please email your submission when submissions are sought,

If you have any questions or concerns, please email Tilly and Ayu at

In previous years, the Equality Portfolio published E-Qual. Previous issues can be viewed in the Publications section of our website.
