Our aim is to connect students to the legal profession by organising expert panels, networking evenings and workshops so that MLS students can meet people in the industry and learn more about where the Juris Doctor can take them.
Our initiatives are varied, and we aim to give students an insight into a number of sectors including Private Practice, Corporate (non-legal), Government and Public Interest. In 2019 we will be running over 30 events, and will also be responsible for producing 2 publications - the Seasonal Clerkship Guide and the Careers Guide.
To make sure you don’t miss out on any news or opportunities, join the “MULSS Careers” group on Facebook.
The Careers and Development Portfolio Directors for 2019 are Anjali Iyer and Burnet Wang.
The Careers team is also comprised of a number of Careers Officers who are responsible for specific sub-portfolios:
Emily Grutzner and William McKelvie - Private Practice Careers Officers
William Hately and Shankari Thananjeyan - Corporate Careers Officers
Calvin Collins - Government Careers Officer
Sharmera Kesavan - Public Interest Careers Officer
Phoebe Scott - General Careers Officer
Christopher Warwick and Isabella Le - First Year Careers Officers
