This year MULSS Careers will be hosting a Corporate Careers Panel and will be inviting Investment banks, Consulting Firms and other Corporate organisations to our Corporate and Public Sector Networking Evening. Both these events will be held in March 2019. Later in the year we will have a Corporate Careers Workshop to help students prepare for applications opening early the following year.

Both events will be held in March 2019. Later in the year we will have a Government Careers Workshop to help students prepare for applications opening early the following year.
Expert Panels are designed to give students an insight into specific commercial law practice areas, and provide an opportunity for students to ask questions of leading practitioners.
Expert Panels begin on Tuesday evenings at 6.30pm, lasting for approximately one hour before concluding with refreshments and a chance to network with firm representatives.
In 2019, the MULSS will host four Expert Panels:
- Mergers, Acquisitions and Capital Markets
- Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution
- Construction and Major Projects
- IP and TMT
Seasonal Clerkship Seminars are designed to give you a deeper insight into individual firms, and to provide a forum to ask questions about recruitment, clerkship and graduate experiences, international opportunities and key practice areas. Seasonal Clerkship Seminars are also a great opportunity to meet firm representatives.
In 2019, the LSS will host a number of Seasonal Clerkship Seminars for sponsoring firms.
The biggest MULSS Careers event of the year. Meet the Profession is a great opportunity to meet representatives from leading law firms and speak to them to get a sense of what each firm can offer.
Meet the Profession is an exclusive event for penultimate year students eligible to apply for clerkships in 2019/20. This year, Meet the Profession will be held on Tuesday 14 May.
Ever wondered what it's like to work in a particular area of law? Beyond Law School is a panel series that runs throughout the year which presents students with unique insights and perspectives into various legal practice areas. Guest speakers usually include professionals who have devoted their careers to pursuing and championing specific causes within that practice area.
Each panel addresses a topical subject matter. In 2019, the topics are:
- Family Law
- Bar and Advocacy
- Community Legal Centres
- Criminal Law
